Following extensive consultation the Governors decided in September 2012, with the need for a new supplier and ready for our 2014/2015 celebration of 175 years of formal Church School Education in the Village of Freckleton by our school, that our old uniform would be phased out and a new uniform would be in place.
The original school colours:
- Gold for the sun
- Sky Blue to represent Water and
- Brown for the Earth
are incorporated in our school tie which has a navy background.
The uniform now consists of a grey skirt/pinafore or trousers/shorts, sky blue shirt/blouse, school tie and navy blue sweatshirt or cardigan with school emblem; sky blue checked dresses with white ankle socks can still be worn in the summer. Black school shoes with navy or grey socks/tights should be worn. Hair accessories for girls should only be in blue or white.
As part of this uniform each child is expected to have a school book bag, this both helps ease cloakroom congestion and helps our children to be more independent. In order to facilitate this transition Governors purchased a tie and school book bag for each child; they have continued to do this for all new starters to our school.
