Freckleton's Food Council

Freckleton Church of England Primary School was the first school on the Fylde to have a Food Council; this use of Pupil Voice has been replicated in other schools.

Initially the Food Council worked with Lisa Suddes (Training Officer, LCC Education Health and Wellbeing Team) and Sam Robinson (Service Improvement Manager for Lancashire Catering) on a monthly basis to improve lunch times for children on both school dinners and packed lunches.

The Food Council continue this good work with Mrs Cowell, Office Manager, on a regular basis, meeting and planning to further improve our lunchtime provision.  The kitchen staff also working with our  Food Council to further improve the children's experience of school dinners; including themed lunches and changes to menus.
