A warm welcome from the PTFA (Parents, Teachers, and Friends Association) of Freckleton Church of England Primary School!
A PTFA is a group of parents, teachers, and other members of a school community who work together to support the school and its pupils. At Freckleton C of E, the PTFA raises money for the school through regular activities and events, designed and planned to be inclusive, fun, and a great way to get to know one another! Every penny raised is used to pay for things that might not otherwise be covered by the school’s budget, such as extra-curricular activities or new equipment for the classrooms.
Freckleton’s PTFA is run by a small committee, who are elected each year at an annual general meeting (AGM) that takes place in the autumn. There are four elected committee members: the Chair, the Vice Chair, the Treasurer and the Secretary. Additionally, Freckleton’s committee is fortunate to include a dedicated events team.
The 2024/5 PTFA committee are:

Mr N Kenyon (headteacher) |
Vice Chair |
Abi White (parent) |
Treasurer |
Melissa Depport (parent) |
Secretary |
Rachel Marquis-Box (parent) |
Events team |
Rachel Marquis-Box, Laura Marquis-Osborne, Lucie Marquis-Doughty (parents) |
When a child starts school, their parents/guardians automatically become members of the PTFA, and there are lots of different ways to help out! The PTFA committee is always looking for volunteers to help run events, feedback and suggestions for how to keep improving, and of course - participation in the events themselves! The Freckleton family is open, warm, and incredibly giving; their generosity has significantly enriched the pupils’ education and welfare over many years.
If you would like to get in touch, including to add your name to our active volunteer list, please send us an email or message us over Facebook.
