Meet our new Worship Group for 2018/19 with our Vicar, Reverend Jane Greenhalgh.
Representatives from each Key Stage 2 class meet with Mrs Ainsworth regularly to plan activities for class and whole school worship, which they lead themselves.
The worship group's aim is to enhance worship throughout the school by involving as many children as possible. We help to organise and lead both class and whole school worship.
The members wear distinctive purple badges and play a prominent role in our Holy Trinity services, helping Reverend Jane Greenhalgh by acting as acolytes (carrying the large altar candles), crucifers (carrying the cross) and servers (serving the bread and wine for Holy Communion).
The Worship Group were pleased to represent the school when they provided a display to Freckleton Methodist Church's Community Christmas Event. Do you recognise who is playing the Nativity characters?

The Worship group led an excellent Harvest Festival Service on 18th October 2018 at Holy Trinity Church. They talked about our Christian value for the half term, which was 'Responsibility.' A few days prior to this we had a visit into school from Anne-Marie who works for Fylde Food Bank and she talked to us about the important work of her charity. So at the harvest service we all bought in non-perishable food to donate to the food bank. It was wonderful to make such a valuable contribution to our community, thank you to everyone who came and supported us.
Freckleton families will appreciate them. 141.81kg of donations were donated which is worth £248.16; Amazing! |
