Children will be in the groups that you were originally informed about, part-time either mornings OR afternoons, however, the session times have been adapted:

Please socially distance on site and be aware that, as stated on the newsletter, children will have their temperatures taken before entering the setting. Please adhere to the school's one-way system.
The childcare provision will run from 9am to 3.30pm and the drop off/pick up point for this is the main school hall's side door which is round the corner from the Year 3 classroom.

We are aware of the speculation around if, when and how schools will begin to reopen. Please rest assured we have been carefully considering the options open to us and working to ensure whatever we do intend to provide keeps our church school family as safe as possible.
Please bear in mind that we will be living with Covid-19 for the foreseeable future and it may be years until a vaccine is made so we need to start introducing some normality into our children’s lives now to minimise the impact of the current situation on their health and well-being in the future.
Thank you to everyone with children in Freckles and the Reception, Year 1 & Year 6 classes who completed the questionnaire. Over 55% indicated that you would be sending your children back into our setting if we are open.
Our Risk Assessment and planning, along with the guidance, indicates that if the government does allows us to re-open it would be on a reduced timetable, part-time basis with staggered start times to minimise opportunities for larger social gathering e.g. no playtimes with other year groups, no lunchtime provision, parents not to congregate and adherence to a one way in/one way out traffic system on the school site.
Once plans have been finalised and approved we will be writing to parents/carers of children in Freckles and the Reception, Year 1 & Year 6 classes detailing what the measures mean for them as individuals. Other year groups may be accommodated as the half-term progresses and we move towards summer.
